Morrissey kicked off his North American tour at Wang Theater in Boston on Friday night. Moz threw some surprises into the set list including "A Rush and a Push and the Land is Ours," "Spring Heeled Jim," "Fantastic Bird," and even the Frankie Valli cover he performed on Jimmy Fallon a few days ago. Fans at the show report a LOT of huggers made it on stage, and Moz even accepted some flowers, which were later tossed back into the crowd.
As for Morrissey's band, the 'Thug' shirts from Wednesday's appearance on Fallon were replaced by Peta friendly 'Ringling beats animals' tees. Fans who were in attendance report the band looked and sounded incredible.
Fan filmed video from the show is posted below.
Morrissey is also confirmed for an October 9th appearance on The Colbert Report! According to True To You Morrissey will perform "Action Is My Middle Name" and "Throwing My Arms Around Paris."
