The Cure - Robert Smith acoustic

Update: the show/webcast is over.

The Cure are performing at Spain's BBK festival (watch the webstream here.)  The show got off to an interesting start - the band had technical difficulties, forcing the delay of the show.  After tinkering around with the equipment for a LONG time, Robert Smith came on stage and apologized (in Spanish!) for the delay and explained the show would start soon.  A little later, Smith came back with an acoustic guitar and played a three song impromptu set: "Three Imaginary Boys," "Fire In Cairo," and "Boys Don't Cry." After the final song he informed the crowd he had to go get the rest of the group because, "...that's why it's the Cure, not Robert Smith."  Awesome.

Update: the entire webcast is now available to view below.  Many thanks to You Tube uploader Halo Cure, who was apparently rolling tape the whole time.  The first part of the webcast begins with Smith's apology to the crowd, then the acoustic performance starts.  About an hour of the band's set was webcast, so enjoy it below! FYI, the Cure's plugged in set begins ~ 14 minutes in

Part 2 of webcast

Again, many, many thanks to YouTube uploader Halo Cure.
