Dandy Warhols - Courtney Taylor-Taylor talks Dig + Robert Smith

In a video interview with Young Hollywood, Courtney Taylor-Taylor and Zia McCabe from the Dandy Warhols commented on Dig, the 2004 documentary depicting the band's alleged rivalry with Brian Jonestown Massacre. Taylor-Taylor said the film wasn't an accurate representation of the band, and he also claimed director Ondi Timoner had the band record some parts for the film a couple of years after it was originally shot.  He remarked, "at the end of the day you've got to appeal to the lowest common denominator if you want to have a successful film."

Taylor-Taylor also recounted meeting Robert Smith of The Cure before the Dandys became well known, revealing Smith told him, "you're going to get huge and you're going to hate it...when we came out after Disintegration we weren't playing 2000 seat venues, we were playing stadiums and the first 500 people in my audience were wearing baseball caps and not all of them were even on frontwards."
