A new report in the Guardian claims the Stone Roses have been working on some new material recently.  The source of the info is Chris Coghill, who has been working on a film about the band's legendary 1990 Spike Island gig.  Coghill, who played Bez from Happy Mondays in 24 Hour Party People, claims the Stone Roses have "at least three or four" new tracks recorded.

The news shouldn't be all that surprising - during the band's press conference last October they announced they'd be releasing new material, plus in December they inked a deal with two record labels (Universal and Columbia.)  No word on when we'll hear these alleged new recordings, though perhaps they'll throw something new into their live set when their reunion tour kicks off next month.
